DAY TO DAY SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19

Corona virus is a type of virus that can infect the respiratory tract meaning the nose mouth throat sinuses or lungs, apart from that a person get infection through eyes as well if he touches his eyes with infected hands. There are many types of corona viruses and most cause only mild illness such as the common cold but some corona viruses can cause some severe illness the most likely way a person could get infection is by droplets that contain the virus .These droplets carry the virus into the air and can infect a person by entering through the nose ,eyes, mouth ,throat and lungs of a person who is within 6 feet or 2 meters of a infected person. The virus infects the lungs causing the lungs to become inflamed .The alveolar sacs have to be healthy for the body to breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide. Infection of the virus causes damage to the cells of the lungs and triggers an inflammatory reaction, fever may develop with severe inflammation .Inflammatory fluid fills the lungs this reduces the function of the alveolar resulting in coughing and difficulty breathing. There are chances that oxygen level in the blood decrease in some people who become seriously ill other organs may be affected such as the kidneys or the heart

DAY TO DAY SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19

Before you will read below mention detail, please note that this general synopsis is gathered for initial self-assessment only and may differ for each individual. If you're feeling unwell, you should consult a medical practitioner without a delay to have a precise diagnosis and proper treatment of COVID-19. The below mentioned symptoms are the result of study which been done on 138 patients at Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University and 135 patients from Jinyintan Hospital and another study involving 56 patients from Wuhan Pulmonary Hospital.

DAY 1 to DAY 2

In the beginning infected patient does not show sever or high symptoms those are very similar to the common cold where patient feel mild sore throat without having a fever and patient does not feel tiredness. A patient does not feel any difficulty to consume food and drink.

DAY 3

The patient start feeling pain in his throat. Body temperature could be around 36.5° celsius. Even though  it's uncommon, other symptoms like vomiting or mild diarrhea, mild nausea, are possible to set in.

DAY 4

Throat pain turns into more serious. Patient got other symptoms as well like tiredness or feeling weak and joint pain start. The patient body temperature can be in  between 36.5° to 37° celsius.

DAY 5 to DAY 6

Person starts feeling mild fever. The patient’s body temperature could be noted above 37.2° celsius. The second most usual symptom, dry cough, also appears. Patient may feel Dyspnea or breathing difficulty occasionally. 60 to 70%  patients in this stage are easily get tired. Other symptoms remain same as mentioned above. These four symptoms are counted as top five key indications of COVID-19 as per the last report of the initial outbreak carried out by the joint mission of China and WHO.

DAY 7

If the patients who haven't start recovering by day 7 get more serious breathing difficulty and coughs. Patient’s body temperature could rise up to 38° celsius. Patients may grow other symptoms like headache and body pain or worsening diarrhea if there’s any. It is observed that may patients may require hospitalization or proper medical are at this stage.

DAY 8 to DAY 9

On the 8th day of infection , the symptoms are likely to be more bad for the patient who has coexisting Health conditions. Serious condition of shortness of breath becomes more regular. Patients’ body temperature could rise above 38°. In one of the studies, it is found that day 9 is the average time when blood poisoning (Sepsis) starts to affect 40% of the patients.

DAY 10 to DAY 11

Doctors could ask a patient for imaging tests like chest x-ray to find the seriousness of respiratory distress in patients. Patients are having appetite suppression and may be Feeling abdominal pain. The condition also requires direct treatment in ICU.

DAY 12 to DAY 14

For the survivors, the symptoms can be well-controlled at this point. Patient starts getting his body temperature to normal and may get relief from breathing difficulties as well on day 13.Mild cough could remain for some weeks even after the discharge from hospital in some cases

DAY 15 to DAY 16

Day 15 could be serious for other patient who does not show single sign of recovery .The Weak or vulnerable group must get ready for the risk or chances of acute cardiac injury or kidney injury.

DAY 17 to DAY 19

COVID-19 casualty or death cases happen at around day 18. Before the time, it is observed that that exposed patients possibly develop a secondary infection caused by a new pathogen in the lower respiratory tract. There is possibility that severe situation then lead to blood coagulation and ischemia.

DAY 20 to DAY 22

The patient who survives during the fatal phase is recovered completely from the disease and gets discharge from the hospital.

Hand-washing helps to reduce amounts of all types of germs on hands alcohol-based hand sanitizers don't kill all types of germs. Hand sanitizer should only be used when hand washing is not an option. If you develop any life-threatening conditions like shortness of breath or other symptoms seek medical care immediately
